A court in Ludhiana, Punjab has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood. His name has surfaced in connection with a financial fraud case involving Rs 10 lakh. Shortly after the news broke Sonu Sood responded, clarifying his position on the matter.

A case related to financial fraud was recently heard in the Ludhiana court. A lawyer Rajesh Khanna raised concerns about a fraudulent investment scheme named 'Rizika Coin.' According to reports a person named Mohit Shukla allegedly convinced investors to put Rs 10 lakh into this scheme.

Sonu Sood was not directly accused in this case but was summoned as a witness. However he failed to appear in court leading the judge to issue an arrest warrant against him.

Sonu Sood’s Reaction

Sonu Sood took to social media to address the situation, stating that the reports had been exaggerated. He clarified that the case involves a third party and that he was only called as a witness not an accused. His legal team has already taken the necessary steps to address the issue.

He further stated that he has no links to the investment scheme and is not its brand ambassador. "This is just an attempt to gain media attention by dragging my name into an unnecessary controversy" he said. He assured his fans that he would issue an official statement on February 10 to clear the confusion.
