In a concerning development the official website of the Sri Lankan Government Printing Department and the YouTube channel of the Sri Lanka Police have been hacked. Authorities are investigating the incidents to identify the culprits and restore website and YouTube access.


What Happened.?

The Sri Lankan Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) confirmed that the Sri Lanka’s Government Printing Department's website was compromised by an external party. Unauthorized access allowed to the hackers to modify data on the website.


Similarly, the official Police YouTube channel of the Sri Lanka Police was taken over by an unidentified group. This statement was disclosed through by the Sri Lanka Police's official Facebook account alerting to the public about the breach.

CERT Investigation: CERT has initiated a detailed investigation into the official website hacking to trace the source of the attack.
