During the concluding session of a three day Tafsirul Quran event held on Saturday (January 11th) at Bangladesh's Sylhet MC College grounds, Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari emphasised the need to eliminate corruption, extortion and unethical practices from Bangladesh. He urged citizens and political leaders to pledge for a better united future.
Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari delivered a passionate speech at the Tafsirul Quran Mahfil, organised by Anjuman-e-Khedmat-e-Quran. Highlighting the recurring issues of political and social misconduct, he stated____
- "We’ve seen governments change over the years but corruption remains. One government leaves, another comes and the cycle of dishonesty continues. It’s time for us to take responsibility and correct ourselves."
He urged all registered political parties to take an oath to avoid practices like extortion, tender manipulation and blame games.
A Call for Unity and Reform
Addressing political parties he referred to an earlier speech in Jessore, he saying
-"I mentioned that one group has benefited while another waits for its turn. My words weren’t directed at any specific party yet some took offence. This reaction itself reflects the problem."
Dr. Azhari emphasised the importance of constructive leadership discouraging divisive politics.
Significance of the Event
The Anjuman-e-Khedmat-e-Quran organisation deeply connected with the legacy of Shaheed Allama Sayeedi was praised by Dr. Azhari for its contributions beyond religious education including social welfare initiatives.
