More Cases filed Against Chinmoy Krishna Das, Application Submitted In Chittagong Court.

Monk Chinmoy Krishna Das has been in jail for the last 13 days, and more cases have been registered against him in Bangladesh court. A total number of 164 people including Chinmoy Das, are facing charges in the Bangladesh’s Chattagram court. There are a lot of allegations that Chinmoy’s followers attacked local peoples and damaged vehicles on the court premises. 


A Bangladeshi businessman who’s name is Enamul Haque, he filed a case that he was beaten by Chinmoy’s followers on last November 26th at the court premises. He also said he was injured and could not file a complaint earlier due to his illness. Enamul also accused the group of causing damage in his area. The Chattagram Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court has accepted Enamul Haque’s case. 


With all these new cases, Chinmoy Das is unlikely to be released before January 2nd of 2025, and there are a chance more cases might be registered against him. At the December 3rd 2024 court hearing, Chinmoy Das lawyers were unable to represent his clint Chinmoy Das as one was attacked and another one house was vandalised. 


Chinmoy Das have been facing legal troubles come between growing tension for minority Hindus in Bangladesh. Kolkata’s established ISKCON Vice President Radha Raman Das, alleged that fundamentalists in Bangladesh are calling for the destruction of ISKCON and violence against Bangladeshi Hindus. Radha Raman Das accused the Bangladeshi government do not taking any action to protect minority communities.
