On this Friday, a severed head of a young woman was found in a container behind a multi storey building beside Grahams Road, Tollygunge, Kolkata. The woman’s wound was fresh and the blood had not dried. Police suspect the woman’s head was severed within 12 hours before it was found. Now it is a challenging periods for the Kolkata police, questions about the victim's identity, the motive of the murder, and the rest of the body. Panic spread in the area very fast.

 

To solve the case, police checked CCTV footage very perfectly and also they used a sniffer dog. Within a day, they made significant progress it is really good work by the police. The victim was identified, and the motive became clear. A painter who is from Bashul danga, Diamond Harbour, he was arrested by the Kolkata police Friday late night in connection with the Tollygunge murder case.


The woman was from South 24 Parganas who worked as a maid. Police believe she had in a relationship with the painter, and the murder was happened because of the fuelled by anger. Police discovered the woman was hit on the back of her head with the heavy object, strangled because death, and then beheaded. The initial autopsy confirms these findings.

 

A local tea seller reported to the police he seeing the woman regularly in the mornings and afternoons, indicating she worked nearby. While the severed head has been found, the rest of her body is still missing.
