With all banks across India managing massive transactions daily any holiday can disrupt plans if not anticipated. From January 12th to January 15th several regional and national holidays may affect banking services in specific states.
Bank Holiday Details Till January 15th
- January 12 (Sunday): Nationwide holiday as it’s a Sunday. Additionally it marks the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
- January 13: All Banks will remain closed in Punjab and nearby regions due to Lori celebrations.
- January 14: Makar Sankranthi and Pongal will lead to all bank closures in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
- January 15: All Bank holidays in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Assam for Thiruvalluvar Day, Magh Bihu and Tusu Festival.

- January 16: Banks in South India will remain closed for Uazhavar Thirunal Festival.
- January 19 (Sunday): Nationwide Sunday holiday.
