A woman’s death in Jhansi was initially believed to be suicide but a surprising revelation turned the case upside down. The victim’s 4 year old daughter sketched a chilling image revealing that her mother was brutally murdered by her father who then staged it as suicide.

A Suspicious Death & A Child’s Revelation

A housewife’s lifeless body was discovered under mysterious circumstances. Her in-laws claimed she had taken her own life, and at first the police also suspected the same. However when the victim’s parents arrived their 4-year-old granddaughter Darshita gave a shocking account. She drew a picture depicting how her father Sandeep Budholia had assaulted and killed her mother Sonali. 

The Dark Truth Behind the Drawing

Darshita told both the police and journalists that her father had beaten her mother hit her on the head with a heavy object and later hanged her body to make it look like a suicide. Afterward he even took the body down and stuffed it into a sack. The child also revealed that her father had previously threatened to kill her mother and warned her that she could meet the same fate.

A History of Abuse & Dowry Demands

According to Sonali’s parents their daughter faced constant abuse since her marriage in 2019. Her husband’s family had already taken a dowry of Rs 20 lakh but later demanded a car. When the demand was not met the harassment worsened. After the birth of a baby girl the abuse escalated as Sandeep wanted a son. In a horrifying incident the family abandoned Sonali in the hospital after she gave birth.

A Premeditated Crime.?

Sonali had recently attended a relative’s wedding in Jhansi. Sandeep allegedly called her back home urgently and the next morning, her family was informed that she had fallen ill. Shortly after they were told she had died by suicide. When they arrived the truth had already been buried - until Darshita’s innocent drawing exposed it all.

Police Investigation & Next Steps

The police have taken Darshita’s statement and Sonali’s family’s complaint seriously. The victim’s body has been sent for an autopsy and authorities are awaiting the report to confirm the cause of death. Investigations are ongoing and the truth is expected to come to light soon.
