Another shopkeeper, Ranjit Das added
“Thousands of people rely on this market for their livelihood. From shopkeepers to street vendors everyone benefits when travellers stop by. Now that the roadwork is nearly complete we are seeing business return to its former glory.”

A few months ago the quality of sweets in some shops was questioned leading to the seizure of hundreds of kilos of Langcha by authorities. However most shopkeepers assure that they maintain strict quality standards ensuring customers get the authentic taste of Shaktigarh’s Langcha.
