At the beginning of 2025 Airtel India's second largest telecom operator has made significant changes to its popular recharge plans. The company has launched revised plans targeting users who prioritise calling and SMS services over mobile data. Here’s everything you need to know about these updated plans and their benefits.
Rs 499 Prepaid Plan Details
Airtel's Rs 499 prepaid plan is designed for users who primarily rely on unlimited calling and messaging. Key features of the plan include

Earlier priced at Rs 509, this plan previously included 6GB of mobile data which is no longer available. The Rs 10 price reduction makes it more affordable for users who do not require data services.
Rs 1959 Annual Plan
Airtel has also revised its yearly plan to cater to users seeking long-term connectivity without data benefits.
- Validity: 365 days.
- Unlimited Calling: No restrictions on calls.
- SMS Benefits: 3600 SMSs throughout the year.

- Access to Airtel Xstream.

Previously priced at Rs 1999, this plan is now available for Rs 1959 offering a Rs 40 discount. However users will no longer receive the 24GB of mobile data that was earlier included in this plan.

- The Rs 499 plan replaces the Rs 509 plan, with a Rs 10 reduction in price and the removal of data benefits.
- The Rs 1959 annual plan is a slightly cheaper version of the earlier Rs 1999 plan but comes without the 24GB data previously offered.
