The West Bengal government’s “Duare Sarkar” (Government at Your Doorstep) initiative continues to serve citizens, ensuring that essential services reach them directly. Recently senior TMC leader Nityananda Banerjee who is also the President of Memari-1 Block TMC and a key official in the Purba Bardhaman Zilla Parishad visited the Durgapur Village Panchayat to oversee the functioning of the camp.

What is “Duare Sarkar”.?

Launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee “Duare Sarkar” is a flagship scheme designed to bring government services closer to the people. Various welfare schemes including health benefits, pension services and financial aid programs are made accessible to citizens through these camps.

Nityananda Banerjee’s Visit

During the ninth phase of the initiative Nityananda Banerjee personally visited the Durgapur Village Panchayat in Memari-1 Block to inspect how effectively the services were being provided. His primary focus was to ensure that people were receiving benefits without any hurdles. He interacted with the locals, listened to their grievances and instructed officials to resolve any issues immediately.

Key Highlights of the Camp 

- Citizens were able to apply for various government schemes, including Lakshmir Bhandar, Swasthya Sathi and Kanyashree.

- The administration ensured that beneficiaries faced no difficulties in accessing the services.

- Local authorities worked efficiently to streamline the documentation and verification process.

- Special counters were set up for senior citizens and differently-abled individuals to receive assistance quickly.
