Free Bus Rides for Exam Students....! A Generous Initiative by Hooghly’s Arambagh Bus Association.

top-news

In a heart-warming initiative the Arambagh Bus Association has announced that students appearing for the Secondary and Higher Secondary exams will be able to travel for free during the exam period. This decision, aimed at reducing the stress of commuting is expected to benefit students from Hooghly, Bankura, Paschim Medinipur and Purba Bardhaman districts.

Free Travel for Exam Candidates

Understanding the difficulties faced by students during exams the Arambagh Bus Association has taken a unique step—allowing students to travel without paying any fare. Any student who shows their admit card to the bus conductor will be allowed to board the bus without any charge.

No Restrictions on Routes or Stops

- Students can board buses from any location along the route.

- Buses will stop anywhere if a student signals for a ride.

- Conductors and staff have been instructed to be polite and cooperative with the students.

This initiative ensures that students reach their exam centers on time and stress-free.

Bus Owners' Associations Unite for Students

At a press conference held at the Arambagh bus stand officials from seven different bus associations announced this initiative.

Key points from the announcement

- Free rides will be provided throughout the exam period.

- Special instructions have been given to bus drivers and conductors to ensure a smooth experience for students.

- Around 200+ buses will operate across multiple districts, covering important routes.

Officials also urged the administration to manage traffic properly during exam hours to prevent congestion and accidents.

Who Will Benefit.?

This initiative will help students from various areas, including:

- Arambagh, Khanakul, Pursurah, Goghat and Tarakeswar.

- Hooghly, Bankura, Paschim Medinipur and Purba Bardhaman districts.

Students, parents and teachers have welcomed this decision expressing gratitude towards the bus associations for their support.

Appeals to Authorities

With increased bus activity bus owners have requested local authorities to

- Keep “No Entry” restrictions lifted during exam hours.

- Ensure smooth traffic flow near exam centers.

- Take strict safety measures to avoid accidents.

These steps will ensure a safe and hassle-free journey for students.

The Arambagh Bus Association’s decision to offer free rides to students is a commendable step towards supporting education. By easing their travel burden, this initiative will help students focus on their exams without worry. This may be the first time such a scheme is implemented setting an example for other regions to follow.
