The situation took a deadly turn when Bapi turned on his mother Suniti Roy. He allegedly slashed her throat, killing her on the spot. Neighbours rushed the injured Dilip and his mother to a local hospital, where doctors declared Suniti Roy dead. Dilip Roy, gravely wounded was shifted to Jalpaiguri Super Specialty Hospital for further treatment.
