Kolkata and South Bengal are bracing for a significant rise in temperature with no signs of rainfall in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department the maximum temperature in Kolkata could reach 34°C early next week.

Weather Forecast for South Bengal

- South Bengal including Kolkata will experience partly cloudy skies with no rainfall expected for the next few days.

- The current maximum temperature in Kolkata is around 30°C while the minimum temperature hovers near 22°C.

- By the beginning of next week the temperature is projected to rise to 33-34°C.

North Bengal’s Rainy Outlook

- Unlike South Bengal, North Bengal will face heavy rainfall over the next two days.

- Districts like Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri are expected to witness intense rain.

- Scattered showers are also predicted in North Dinajpur and Cooch Behar.

- Higher altitudes in Darjeeling and Kalimpong might experience light snowfall due to the weather conditions in Sikkim.

Rising Temperatures in Kolkata

- Over the next 48 hours Kolkata will see a steady rise in temperatures.

- Early mornings may have light fog but partly cloudy skies will take over as the day progresses.

- Meteorologists predict a 3-4°C temperature surge by the end of the week.
