What Happened.?

Peter Gollapalli married for just two years had been living apart from his wife Pinky for three months due to escalating disputes. On Sunday he was found dead at home, leaving a note addressed to his father.


The note read

“Father, I’m sorry. My wife Pinky wants me dead. I’m dying because of her torture.”


Family Speaks Out

Peter’s brother Jayal revealed that the couple had been facing serious marital issues. They had been in the midst of a divorce case where Pinky’s family allegedly demanded Rs 20 lakh as compensation. Peter was reportedly under immense stress due to these demands.

Jayal further stated that Pinky’s frequent visits to her maternal home and harsh remarks worsened Peter’s mental state. “She told him she wouldn’t return, even if he died,” Jayal said.


Father's Allegations

Peter’s father Obayya claimed that his son’s deteriorating mental health was due to his wife’s abusive behaviour and financial demands. He also alleged that an argument during Peter’s office meeting instigated by Pinky led to him losing his job.


Police Investigation Underway

The police have registered a case under Section 108 of the Indian Penal Code (abetment to suicide). Authorities are analysing Peter’s suicide note and other evidence to determine the next steps.
