BJP's Victory in Delhi....! Anupam Kher Blames Kejriwal's Statement on Kashmiri Pandits.

The BJP has achieved a historic win in Delhi, ending AAP’s rule. Soon after the election results were declared Bollywood actor Anupam Kher took a dig at Arvind Kejriwal linking his defeat to his past remarks on Kashmiri Pandits. Kher claimed that Kejriwal’s insensitivity towards the suffering of Kashmiri Pandits led to his downfall.
AAP’s Defeat and BJP’s Victory
The Delhi Assembly election results have shattered Kejriwal’s dream of securing a third consecutive term. BJP after 27 years has finally reclaimed power in the capital. Social media is abuzz with reactions and Kher’s comment has added fuel to the discussion.
Anupam Kher’s Strong Reaction
Taking to platform X (formerly Twitter) Anupam Kher shared a photo of Kejriwal laughing and wrote a cryptic message. He stated that when someone mocks the pain of innocent victims their silent prayers can turn into a curse. He indirectly blamed Kejriwal’s previous statements about Kashmiri Pandits for his political downfall.
The Kashmir Files Controversy
Kher’s reaction stems from a past incident in 2022 when AAP refused to make the film “The Kashmir Files” tax-free in Delhi. Kejriwal had mocked BJP’s demand and suggested that the film be uploaded on YouTube for free viewing. His remarks had angered Kashmiri Pandits and their supporters, including Kher who saw it as a dismissal of their struggles.

Kejriwal’s Response to Criticism
At that time Kejriwal had defended himself stating that he was targeting BJP’s political strategies rather than undermining the plight of Kashmiri Pandits. However his words were widely criticised and Saturday’s election loss brought back the controversy with Kher reminding the public of that moment.
The Delhi elections have not only changed the political landscape but also revived old debates. Anupam Kher’s remarks have reignited discussions about Kejriwal’s approach to sensitive issues. With BJP’s return to power it remains to be seen how Delhi’s governance will evolve under new leadership.
