Initial Arrest

Kolkata Police swiftly arrested Sanjay Roy a civic volunteer as a suspect in the case. However this was just the beginning of a series of twists and turns.

CBI Investigation and Court Battles

The case was later transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as the High Court and Supreme Court got involved. After 5 months and 9 days of relentless efforts including witness statements, forensic analysis and legal scrutiny the Sealdah Court is now set to deliver its final judgment.
