The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm and hailstorm warning for many regions. From Thursday to Saturday, heavy rain, lightning and strong winds will affect different parts of West Bengal.

- Widespread Rain & Hailstorm Warning: IMD has predicted scattered thunderstorms, strong winds and hailstorms in various districts until Sunday.

- Wind Speed Alert: Stormy winds will blow at 40-50 km/h in Purulia, Bankura, West Midnapore, East & West Burdwan and Hooghly.

- Kolkata & Coastal Areas Impact: Kolkata, East Midnapore and South 24 Parganas will experience gusty winds at 30-40 km/h along with thunderstorms. 

- Saturday’s Intensity: The impact will be stronger on Saturday with wind speeds reaching 40-50 km/h in Burdwan, West Midnapore, Jhargram, North 24 Parganas, Hooghly and Nadia. 

- Sunday's Forecast: Thunderstorms with 30-40 km/h winds are expected in East & West Midnapore, North & South 24 Parganas.

- Farmers Alert: The IMD has warned of crop damage especially to wheat and potato fields due to heavy rain and hailstorms.
